How it all began
It all began when our children of Pakistani descent were born abroad and we, as parents, came to realize how easy it was for us to learn Urdu growing up in Pakistan and how incredibly hard it had become to instill the same richness and beauty of the language we grew to love in our kids.
Thus, in 2020, my youtube channel "Urdu Hai Jis Ka Naaam" took birth to showcase the first 12 basic lessons for anyone who wanted to learn Urdu.
Later in 2020, we formed a private Facebook group called "Urdu for kids" which provided parents with a platform to discuss, collaborate, and share our wins with each other; all like-minded individuals striving towards the same goal.
In 2021, a series of books to further highlight learning of the Urdu language were published, launched, and made available globally through Amazon in paperback as well as in digital format. The focus of the books was primarily on being able to equip a new learner to learn small everyday words in the Urdu language using the Urdu alphabets. Our unique method was a success!
In 2022, a 1-on-1 pilot coaching project resulted in a number of students, with little to no knowledge of the Urdu language, gaining applied knowledge of reading, writing, and speaking Urdu. We had cracked the code.
Success was so fruitful that in 2023, we decided to extend all that we had learned throughout our journey into 1-on-1 in-person coaching to those living in Canada. Thus, urdulanguage.online was born!
In 2024, we moved to Pakistan and a new chapter in this passionate journey initiated. Through research, surprisingly, it was learned that Urdu of native children of Pakistan was also on a decline.
In 2025, we decided to bridge that gap in this Pakistani market and are now offering the same 1-on-1 in-person coaching in Bahria Enclave, Islamabad, Pakistan.
Our Method
We, at Urdu Language Inc., are avid believers that if the Urdu language will prevail over the test of time, it must be taught from the basics and with the original Urdu alphabet. We have tested and seen positive results when teaching children and adults Urdu without using Roman Urdu. Is it harder for children living abroad among other languages to start from the basics let alone with Urdu alphabets? Of course, it is! Well, nothing good comes easy. Having said that, we will be here to hold your hand and those of your children if you dare to take this enormous challenge.
